Meeting global climate goals will cost developed nations $300 billion a year through 2035, according to the UN. As climate disasters escalate, so does climate investment. Reliable data is critical to ensuring those dollars drive real impact.
Vibrant Data Labs is a team of data scientists and ecologists mapping investments in climate solutions. Their visual tools expose global trends and funding gaps, helping to direct resources where they’re needed most.
The Challenge:
To translate technical work into simple terms and drive aligned inbound interest
Strategy & Execution:
My process began with an internal audit and staff interviews. This helped surface brand communication challenges and inconsistencies.
Through guided workshops, we defined and simplified complex concepts, and I produced a Message Framework designed to achieve the following objectives:
Unify Brand Voice: Core company messages ensured all communications—from investor pitches to conference presentations—were clear, compelling, and consistent.
Make the Work Accessible: Technical language was refined into persuasive, jargon-free messaging, making Vibrant Data Labs’ impact tangible to funders and clients without a background in ecology or complexity science.
Align Staff: I facilitated cross-team meetings to develop mission and vision statements that all employees could confidently champion.
Refine Messages Through Testing: Alongside executive leadership, I produced a plan to test and adapt messages via in-depth interviews with target audiences to ensure resonance.
Impact:
The Message Framework now serves as the basis for Vibrant Data Labs’ external communications, helping staff cultivate high quality inbound interest from funders, clients, and partners.
